This morning we went to the beach. It was perfect. We went with Emily and Jackson. The weather was perfect and the water was calm. Goldie was loving the water and the shells she collected. Haze was content sitting in the water with me where she fell asleep and took a good little nap under our umbrella. 

We are loving the beach these days. The girls are so good there. I love to play in the sand with them. Goldie is so good at collecting shells and treasures in her bucket and digging holes all over the beach. Hazel eats sand. a lot of it. last week she pooped straight sand the day after a beach day.... actually the day i took these pictures.

its my babe's birthday

Happy Birthday John. You are the perfect man for me. Thank you for being so nice to me all the time. Thank you for doing so much for me and the babies.  I love seeing you love your babies. They are lucky to have such a good man as their father. I'm so lucky to have you. I think we have a really good thing going on here John.  This is one of my favorite pictures of us when we were dating, well actually all the pictures from this trip. It was 5 years ago, on your birthday weekend,  when you asked me to be your wife. I said Thank You. but you know that meant yes. I love you John. You are my favorite person. My best Friend. Happy Birthday. (and happy father's day)

North Captiva Island

Tthe first week of June we took off down south for some old fashion vacation time. The Quigley's were nice enough to invite us along on their trip to Captiva. The Haughts were planning on joining us but the new job and relocation (sniff sniff) made it not happen. So we had our good friends the Bentz family come and hang for a couple of days. Besides the first night when Haze was running a fever of a 102 and threw up 3 times it was a total blast... oh yes and she cut 3 teeth on the top. We had so much fun beaching it up and cruising around the island on our golf carts, there are no cars on the island. Goldie got so comfortable in the water. She is just about swimming now. We packed in all the food for the week, which was a whole ton to feed the Quigley Clan and us. Vanessa feed us like kings.  The first morning we were there N and V went out to find a spot set up camp for the day on the beach. They happened upon the perfect spot with a hut and everything. While we were there we saw many dolphins, tarpon and even had a close encounter with lots of manatees.

the first night we got there we headed down to the beach and did some exploring. Deck and Gold were little adventurers. by the end of our walk they were neck deep in the water

here we are all loaded up, with the beasty golf cart leading the way,  heading to the perfect beach spot.

my sick little pumpkin being a trooper... she and I ended up under the umbrella, down by the water for the many hours we were at the beach. it was pleasant and Hazel was a good little companion.

last night.date night.

we left the 2 oldest quigs in charge and took off for a little double date fishing trip. we were out to catch some shark.

no sharks caught but V and I caught most of the bait fish. it was fun.

Thank you so much to the Quigley Family for bringing us along. It was so much fun. We missed the Haughts.  We need to plan our next family vacays together again. How bout the North Shore?

My girls

Oh my girls. I am a lucky mama with these two. They are so adorable. Irresistible.

This one. She is getting so big. She is pretty darn good at using the potty. She loves wearing underpants.  Especially her "cinder beauty" pair.  She loves to go to church and see her friends. She is pretty well behaved these days. Goldie's first word, besides the automatic mama and dada, was shoe. She has always have a thing for shoes. Well it has only gotten stronger. The other day we met up with my friend Aubrey and she came to the open door of the car where Goldie was sitting. The first thing Goldie said to her was "I Love your shoes." She has been noticing colors and shapes where ever we go. She is very observant. Golds loves to make her baby sister laugh. If Goldie can get Hazey going, whether it's by running into the wall, or dancing around like a wild person, or throwing herself to the ground, she will do it forever. Goldie has become quite a little swimmer. With 2 weeks of swim lessons and a week at a beach house she has become a little fish. She still needs some help but she is almost there. Our girl Gold loves anything princess. She is in heaven at the Quigleys house. Every time we see her she is in another princess ensemble, dress, shoes, head piece and wand. We love our Princess Goldie Hart.

And oh heavens. This little sweets is a little doll face. She is a great little crawler these days. She can get around when she wants to but she is most content to be right by her mother. She has the best smile that she shares with everyone. She is so happy and sweet. She has 5 teeth. She is eating all sorts of food now. She has the most adorable face on earth.  Her little cheeks are kissable and her little ears are perfect for nibbling . Hazey thinks her sister is hilarious. Goldie can just be walking by and Haze will burst into laughter.  When she does that it makes everyone laugh. I think Haze knows shes being funny when she does that. Hazel is a perfect little person. We love having this little girl in our family. She makes us so happy. I can't love on her enough. I actually don't even mind getting up with her in the night to feed her because I get a little time to hold and kiss her. She is our little pumpkin.
