I am totally in love with my girls. As I sat and had happy thoughts about my children quietly sleeping in my tidy house hearing my dishwasher running i was grateful that my kids were down for the night. It had been a little while since we had tucked them in and left them to fall asleep and I assumed they had drifted off already. After a mention to my man of how the kids were so tired and must have gone right to sleep i heard some giggling and talking from their room. Most nights this kind of funny business leads to requests of water or a string cheese, im a sucker, or, in worse cases, all out anarchy where bedtime is foiled all together. But tonight they were great. Perfect little roommates. My little girls get along so well. They love each other and are nice to each other. Goldie is usually quick to share of go with out to avoid the wrath of the Haze. This is key to their budding friendship. I love seeing my girls being friends. I am so lucky to have my 2 healthy little beauties. Here are some pictures of the girls doing what some of their faves.

Goldie has been loving ballet. She loves Miss amber, John's cousin, and all of her ballet friends. This year some of her cousins started preschool but we decided not to put her in and instead do other things like ballet and soccer. She asks why she doesn't go to school and i tell her because she goes to ballet. On our way to ballet last week she said form the back, "Mom, can we pretend that this is our bus and that we are all riding on our bus to ballet?" so i said of course and we freestyled our own version of The Wheels on the Bus with the ballerinas going "tip tip toe". Hazel joined in and Goldie was pleased with her "bus ride". When we get to class Hazel is fighting to get in and join in on the fun.

Before John left for Mississippi for his first round of selling the girls and I stayed behind at my mom and dad's house. We were in hog heaven. Cousins and swimming all day. I'm getting sad just remembering how fun it was. My girls missed their dad so much, often Goldie would fall asleep crying for Daddy but the cousins and the frenzy of activity eased the pain. We were so happy to be there with all our people that we love but were counting down the days until we were with our daddio again.

Beaching it one last time

I am still in heaven here surrounded by mountains and loving it but i know that these warm summer days are coming to an end and we are going to be missing the perfect "winter" Florida weather.

I've been "folking"

We are still alive. We're here in Utah. John started school already and our life is moving right along. This summer was busy with moving all around. John was busy selling alarms and working with his partner, and brother in law, Nate, on FOLKSTORY. There have been many releases in our Beta stage and we are still working hard to make Folkstory the best place share, keep, and (soon) print your stories. I have been waiting for the right release to share with you and this is the one. We have just release "Share beyond Folkstory". We have a short little window of time where we can spend some qt with dad these days. The girls love their dad. He is much more fun than I am. He plays pretend and talks in silly voices. Goldie loves showing and telling eveything to daddy. All through out the day she will say "I'm gonna show my daddy this and he's going to say" ( with a scrunched up nose) "what theHECK". He is always on her mind. As far as haze goes... She has just started calling me mama and not daddy. You get the point.

Getting along

We are having a good time here in the Magnolia State. John is busy and we have been hanging with the moms and kids here. Goldie has made some good friends already with the kids. The most exciting thing for me as a mother, in light of Mother's day, is that my girls are getting along. They play so well together. Goldie is always looking out for Haze, even though Hazel takes every chance to grab on to her hair and pull a clump out, or pinch her with her teeny little hands. Goldie wants Hazel to be happy. If Basil is sad or acting like something isn't working out for her Goldie is quickly coming to me and reporting why Haze is upset. Hazel is getting so big and so smart. She is keeping up with her big sis in just about anything these days. We live in an apartment with an elevator and Goldie and Hazel are great button pushers. Goldie presses the button first and then goes over to Haze and lifts her up to repress it. Then Hazey runs right in to the elevator and backs up to the wall and reaches her little arm up to hold on tight to the railing. I am loving my life. The girls are healthy and sweet. My husband is handsome and works so hard. The gospel is real. Proof, if I needed any, is here, in Jackson Mississippi, in a tiny branch where the gospel is strong and testimonies growing, young men are being prepared for missions, baptisms are happening. I had a wonderful Mother's day yesterday. I'm so grateful for the mothers in my life that are constant and loving.... Especially my beautiful Mom.

Easter

This Easter was great for our little family. We had been away from our dad for 2 weeks and were reunited with him on Tuesday of last week for a few minutes before he was off again to sell sell sell. We are currently in Jackson Mississippi selling alarm systems before we head back to school in August. John said to me as we were executing the worlds quickest move from our house in IHB, "who knew we were going to relive 2005 again... Selling alarms, going back to BYU" but seriously. We are. Except now we have 2 little dears tagging along. So, anyway, Easter was so divine this year for us because it was the first day to spend with our dad. We had all day with him. Sundays are precious to us. We manged to get a not-so-successful family picture session.

Easter We had an egg hunt for all the little kids in the office. Haze and Goldie we pros by this one.. they had already been to one earlier that week. Our team here has a delish dinner every Sunday and Easter was nothing short of scrumptious! We met at a park, ate, hunted and played.

IHB visit

Last week's trip back to good ol' IHB produced some pretty cute pics. Mom and I took the girls over to meet with up with the Quigs for some Thai take out for lunch. Nate cruised in on the Barrel Bike (one of my babes frozen business ventures)with our takeout bungeed to the back of his bike. Our lunch was delicious, the company was too... and these pics of my babies were scrumptious (thanks nate for having your fancy camera. it seems like I never get pictures with my girls. it was such a treat to get a couple of quick shots.)

Craziness

(I started drafting this a week ago)

2 weeks ago John and I decided to move. In one week we were packed and out of our cute little beachside house and on the road (well actually JW is on the road). John and I have known for a little while now that we are headed back to Utah for Graduate school in August but who knew that we would be making a pit stop in Mississippi for 4 months. My babe will be making Mississippi a safer place, one sweet little house a time. He is back with his ol' buddies selling alarms again. I am looking forward to seeing the ladies that belong to those buddies but for now I am spending a couple of weeks here in St Cloud with my family. After a beautiful shower for my SIL Em, the girls and I will make the journey to be with our man. For now we are enjoying the perfect weather here in FLA and the many family members here in St Cloud.

Today we went back to Melbourne for a quick stop to pay bills, pick up mail etc and as i drove up and over my causeway bridge that took me home to the brown house it still felt so normal. I had to actually make my self feel like things have changed. I am sure that it will feel different soon.

Have I have not been taking pictures like I should be! At least not on my camera... im currently obsessed with taking pictures and videos on my phone. But here is a picture that was taken MANY years ago... probably about 27 years ago actually. This shot was taken us outside of the house that I grew up in in Longwood Florida. My parents bought the house when they had 5 kids, i think, and my mother brought 7 newborns home to this house.
This house held many beautiful Christmas dinners that cooked with love by my father, mother and grandmother, Josephine Cassell, and served by my brothers and neighbor boys in white shirts and metallic ribbon bowties.
This house held many birthday parties with brown paper bag and newspaper wrapping.
This house held many FHE nights where my siblings and I, one by one, would bare our testimonies standing on the brick fireplace hearth with our mouths so close to our FHE microphone.
This house was the place where many allnighters were pulled by my talented mother who would work away into the quiet nights on sewing projects like matching speedos for all of her boys made from the same sweet material. Or on a Christmas dress, actually 6, 1 for each of her girls and 1 for her. Or on an Easter present of baby doll clothes, blankets, pillows, crib pads, you name it she made it... for each of us.
This is the house where we would every school year receive a Father's Blessing from my dad, blessing us with good health, good study habits and the courage to choose the right.
This house was the place where friends would come and tell us that there was such a good feeling there.
This was the house where we had dogs, chicken, emus, horses, cows, goats, sheep and 7 boys tending them.
This was the house where my father helped my brothers raise money for their missions by helping them before school and before early morning seminary to water, weed and eventually sell thousands of saplings in the Munns Mission Pine Nursery aka, our backyard.
This is the house where I remember being loved so much by my brothers and sisters and mother and father.
Dang... Who knew I was going there? Not I. But it is what it is. I loved my childhood... I should share more stories about it... like the story of my 3 yr old brother building a bonfire in the front yard, or my bother's calf being slaughtered hanging from a tree in the back, or the time my brothers were doing gainers off the roof in to the pool, or the story of me and my sis attaching my brother to the flagpole in the front yard by his underwear... yeah there is a lot of good stuff.

bonfire and beach

last week Kara and the kids had a sleep over at our little house. Its a little tricky adding 3 more kids and an adult in to out beach bungalow. So we laid the babies down, {Hazey in my room, Charbo in Hazey's room, with a guest bed for Kara} and set the kids bed up on Goldie's floor and we took off to a bonfire on the beach with Vanessa and some of our friends from the ward, and then to coldstones for some tart and tangy. It was a great night (with no photo documenting). The next day we got up and headed to the beach to meet EM and Jack. It was a beautiful day. Everyone was loving life, except Charlotte, who would not let her feet touch the sand. At first we thought it was the soft sand, then the wet sand, but really she just wouldnt have any part of the sand. So Kara had to carry her around until she rigged a little seat for her with a boogie board under her feet. She was happy... and then... she got brave and started to walk. She was finally about to come out from under the umbrella and play. And she was happier.

Emily, Kara, Shanda and I took the kids to the Silver Spurs Fair. These little people loved every second of it. Austin, Kate and Goldie had wrist bands so they could as many rides as they wanted. About an hour in to it Kara left with Hazey and Charbo and the big kids and I stayed on. They rode and rode until they were beat. They were seriously falling asleep on the last couple of rides. Goldie is still talking about it. She asked routinely if we can got to the fair. I explained to her that the fair packed up and went to another city so the other kids can ride and have fun like we did. Now or conversations go like the one the just happened.

ME: "Goldie, do you want to go to the park?"

Gold:"No, I want to go to the fair."

ME:"The fair is gone. But we can go to the park."

Gold: "Lets drive to another city to go to the fair! Is that a great idea?"

She is smart. And adorable. And so are the rest of these carnies.

this ride was cracking my up. this is a ride i used to ride at this same fair in high school. somehow it made it to the kiddie area and the height limit is shorter. these kids were hilarious on it.

i was seriously dying up when I saw how this picture came out. These little sleds were going so fast! I was getting sick just watching them ride.

The slumber party

Last month John and I went to Utah for 5 days and left the girls with Kara. The day we got back Kara and Sam took off with the Wild Florida team to Canada for a trade show for 5 days (which was a total success). So the Haught and Hyde kids spent every waking moment, and sleeping moment for that matter, together. It was quite the crew. The first 5 days kara reported bliss and happiness. The last 5 were a little different story. I think 5 days was The max for the partying for the kids. But we partied on through. Here are some highlights.(phone pics)

First night. All three big kids were in bed with me. Look how Goldie and late love each other.

Took a trip to to godad's house for a little break. The kids played in the feeder pond and we took a little ride to see the animals.

The days were a blur. We had good moments and hard ones. The pics are of the good ones.

When John was home on Saturday we even took the kids to the park.

Monday was a great day. The kids were so nice to each other. The babies napped well. Austy was a great helper boy. Thankfully it was a good day because after the Sunday from hell I needed it.

So I took them to mcdonalds. Everyone was happy.

This adventure was memorable. These kids love each other. Thanks for loving my babies while we were gone K&S ... It was easy to love yours while you were.

She is not afraid of anything. She is always climbing all over everything and just throwing herself around. She is an excellent slider. I love this little daredevil. She was sick earlier this week and was VERY needy. I had to hold her all day. She would get feeling brave and wanted to get down and play but it wouldn't be long until she was wandering back for me for some good "arms tucked in, head on my shoulder" snuggling.

"Buddy and Buzz"

Goldie has been so in love with Toy Story 3 since we saw it in the theaters. She has been asking for "Buzz toys" for a log time now. So last week I broke down and took her to the store to pick out a toy. We came home with 3. She is in heaven with her "Buddy" "Buzz" and "Josie", no matter how many times I tell her their names she always goes back to these. When we brought them home we wrote her name on their boots. She thought that was awesome. Just like Andy.
Yesterday in Stake Conference Goldie had brought her beloved Buzz toys with her and I hadn't grabbed anything for the baby to play with. While Goldie was playing with some of the many toys scattered on the floor, Hazel wanted to play with one of the buzz toys that Dec had gathered and was protecting between his legs. I asked Goldie to give one of her toys to Hazel because she didn't have anything to play with. It was so sweet to see Goldie grab her Buzz ans hand it over to her little sissy. Dec quickly tried to take it from Haze and Goldie grabbed it back from him and said "No Declan, Hazey wants to play with it. Don't make her sad."
It was a happy moment for a mother. These girls are so nice to each other. It doesn't happen quite this well, without mom's assistance but I was grateful for this moment, while we were sitting in conference, trying to take it all in, that i didn't have to referee it.

My "Show Junkies"

One of Goldies first words was "show." She LOVES her shows still. Here she is teaching her sis, who is equally obsessed with shows, the ropes. Actually Hazel is more obsessed with the actual DVDs. When I get the DVD case out she goes bananas. She gets so excited.

These little ladies get a long so well. I feel so lucky.

Heavenly Holiday

It was so great to have such a wonderful holiday this year. We decided to do our own thing for

Christmas Eve (phone pics to be uploaded) and Christmas morning this year. We hadn't decided what exactly we were going to do so on Christmas Eve morning we decided we would take the girls to see Tangled. (round 2 for John and the girls... the first time was when I was out of town and he took both girls to the movie... it lasted about 45 minutes before Haze was acting like a crazy person and they had to bail) We went to the movie, had popcorn and soda and LOVED it. Then went to lunch and sat in the little park area near the theaters. The day was full of lounging and loving having our Dad home ALL DAY. We went to a great Christmas party at my friend Tina's house, where on the way we had a feisty conversation about how we are going to incorporate Santa in to our family traditions (if John had it his way he would be completely left out). When we got home we opened our Christmas pjs and we read in Luke of the birth of the Savior. It was a prefect Eve. In the morning we had to wake Goldie up at about 8:30 and had the best time watching the girls open their gifts. They were so excited about everything. Goldie was so cute about thanking us after each present. SIDE NOTE::Goldie was so adorable about Christmas. EVERYTHING was about "baby Jesus".... Baby Jesus present, baby Jesus Candy... you name it.... It was about baby Jesus. After we opened our presents we packed up and went to my parents for our Christmas breakfast of Creamed Shrimp on Toast (this year I added Alice Bolen's Carmel French Toast to the Christmas breakfast menu... check out Alice and her French Toast)

We ate and opened and exhanged presents and ate and napped all before our Christmas Dinner...which was heavenly. We stayed all weekend and lounged and played games and ate some more. It was a GREAT holiday. I am a lucky girl.

Growing up in a family of 12 kids Christmas day was a long one. My dad would sit in a chair at the tree and one present at a time would call out each cleverly written name tag like To "Shining Shelly" Love "Mother Kind and Dear." You can imagine that this would take FOREVER. It did. But we all loved it. Our friends from the neighborhood would come by at noon and we would still be steadily opening presents. Oh those were some good days.

JW, however, has not adopted this name tag creativity as a tradition... maybe next year

this year we are doing our first Christmas Eve at our own house. Goldie is so excited about Christmas. She loves Santa, Loves baby Jesus candy (her advent calendar), loves Christmas music and LOVES presents. We are looking forward to our own family traditions. Not sure what they will be yet... any suggestions for a 3 year old to enjoy???

Goldie's GoDad gave her this tree last year so I put it out for her and she decorated it herself. She loved every minute of it.

For Austin's 5th birthday we went to Seaworld. It was a blast. Goldie still talks about it and it has been over a month. She especially loved the sea lion show they did. There was a part in the show where the trainer lifted up the sea lion's tail, tickled his bum and said "goochygoochygoo." The kids all laughed so hard. any time they say it they bust in to crazy laughter. I think Austin has over done it at his house though... Im pretty sure his mother has banned any goochygoochygooing in their house.

Yes it was. Long runs. Spooky trails. Not so great sleeping conditions. At 5:50am we passed off to van one for their last stretch a total of 29+ miles. We have had some Ihop and are on our way to the next resting stop. We are estimating our time to start up again at 11:30 to finish out our 201 miles with the last 46 miles. We're hoping for some rest. We shall see

Halloween At Grandma and GoDad's

My friend gave me this cute little lamb suit for Hazey to wear for Halloween so I tried it on her one morning. She had just woken up and she was being so cute. (yes, she has a black eye here) She took a few laps around the house being so adorable while I took a couple pictures. She was walking so stiff with straight legs because it was too small. As she rounded the corner out of the kitchen she stumbled and started to fall forward and couldn't get her arms out to catch herself and POP! it sounded bad. there was so much blood. I didn't know if it was her lip or her tooth. It sounded like she had popped her tooth right out. After her mouth stopped bleeding I could she that the blood was coming from her lip and her tooth. I've been scared that it was going to turn gray and die. Things seem to be looking normal and healthy. Phew.

25 years later

These two girls are such a little duo. They are their mother's daughters. About 25 years ago we were up to the same tricks. Little Kara Jo and Rachelle Hart. It couldnt be more perfect that Kara and I had our girls at the same time. First these two and now our little Hazey and Lottie. Its girls gone wild when we all get together, which we manage to do pretty well even though the Haughts moved back to the Cloud, wiping away tears, and poor Austin is always along for the ride.

We found these little ladies pretending with my hair brushes and baby lotion. They had covered the window. We knew there was trouble when we heard them laughing so hard. These girls have been up to their tricks since the beginning.

Halloweening

The kids decorated pumpkins and cookies. Goldie is not a fan of frosting so she just ate her cookie bare. But her pumpkin turned out great.

Goldie was planning on being Tinkerbell for Halloween and she was thrilled about it. We kept her Tink outfit from her Bday party up in a safe spot so it would be in good shape for Halloween. But Gold's had a sudden change of heart once she saw me dressed up like a pirate for a Girls Night Out Halloween party the week before. So a pirate she was. And the whole family as well.

Emily and Jackson have made a few trips out to the beach for a late night hair appointment followed by a trip to the beach in the AM. I like this tradition. Jackson is a good little beach boy. We love it when they come to visit.

Tinkerbell's birthday

So IT happened. Goldie's Tinkerbell birthday has come and gone. Our guests were looking adorable, thanks to Mother Munns and her wizardry on the Bernina. (I had plans to make ALL the skirts but she was a dream and did all but one for me) Goldie picked out what friend would wear what color, and of course she would be green, like Tinkerbell. Our little guests came and we danced fairy dances, we ate fairy foods, we made fairy necklaces and we even dug for fairy gems in a treasure chest. It was a success and the little fairy guests were all so well behaved.

Fairy Dancing. (i'll post a movie some day of some great dancing footage) Goldie knew just what to do... the other little fairies we a little confused on what exactly fairy dancing is. Fairy dancing in our house is mix of crazy leg moves and cool tricks combined with light leaps and smooth movements of all sorts. pretty much anything goes when we're fairy dancing.

So today Goldie turned THREE. She has been anticipating this birthday for a long time. She is currently obsessed with birthdays... she will randomly sing Happy Birthday, with an added verse or two of course. Anything with balloons or cakes are "happy birthdays". Thursday we celebrated Hazey's birthday by opening presents for the girls from Grammie Hyde first thing in the morning and having a mini pizza party with Dad. So all day when I would refer to Hazey as my birthday girl Goldie would say "and me too mama!"... so I told her yes, She was my birthday girl too. Friday we had a delightful little Fairy Party and Goldie was in heaven. All of her Tinkerbell dreams came true. She was the perfect Birthday Girl. So this morning when she woke up and I had some little presents for her birthday she looked at me so confused. I thought maybe i had burnt her out on birthday business. "Really? Its my happy birthday?" She was thrilled that the celebrating had not yet ended. I am afraid tomorrow morning she may wake thinking its her birthday again. We may be having a week of birthday shenanigans. It would only be fitting since Goldie's birthday mate, her auntie Kara, is known for her week of birthday celebrations.

Today we had a relaxing celebration. We started out at the park watching Daddy play soccer with his friends. Then we came home and played with all of her toys from her Bday party and had lunch before we took off to the beach to take her new Ariel kite for a spin. Tonight before bed we painted her nails with her new nail polish and she slipped into her new Tinkerbell nightgown. As I was getting her bottle ready for bed (i know... a 3 year old still getting bottle at night... and with milk in it... judge me if you wish) I reminded her about how I have been priming her for the new "three year olds dont get milk in their bottle" transition by pointing to the bottle and saying, "Ok so tonight you are officially three and three year olds get water in their bottles." It finally sunk in that her milk bottles we over and she looked at me with immediate tears and held up 2 fingers and said, trying to be brave... "Mama. I am 2. I dont want to be 3." So I told her tomorrow it begins, after all it is her birthday.

My beautiful little girl is growing up. She is a perfect little friend to her sister. She loves to run and giggle while her daddy chases her around the house. She is so sweet and knows how to share very well. She loves salami and muffins and love love loves soda. We love this little singing princess.

So today was Hazel's birthday. We had fun today playing with our friends at the park and swinging on the swings. Dad came home with some pizza and we had cake for our little H. "It was a good day" Goldie's words as we walked in from the park today.

Hazel is such a sweet little muffin. Some of our favorite things about her are... her cute little dimple, her funny dinosaur noises she makes (usually for her Daddy), the way she walks all over the place like she is a gown up, her cute little body (that doesnt seem to be growing much, she looks like she is 9 months old still), her sweet dance moves he pulls, how much she loves her sissy, and one of my all time favorite things is when she walks or crawls over to me sooo fast and cuddles and takes a rest and then off she goes. We love this little baby so much. She is our little deary. We cant believe she is already One.

my handsome husband and I got away this year to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. we decided to stay in Florida and head over tot he West coast since we are on the East already. we took 3 days and spent our time relaxing and eating and browsing the cute local shops of Longboat Key.... oh yes and our favorite part, SHELLING. We stayed at a nice spot where it felt secluded and romantic. It was a great way to celebrate our 5 years of love and babies together.

It was so great to have one of my Bestest Friends here from Dubai. She was here on a Disney Dream Vacation and so I got to spend a few moments with her, including all of the first they arrived in Orlando. We went to the Hacienda and swam and played on the splash pad... and did NOT take enough pictures. Ive been Lucky enough to be able to see Cait and pretty Livi just about every time she is in the USA but it was such a treat to have our men this rendezvous. We wish and hope and dream of making a trip to Dubai to see the folks. Hopefully it'll happen.

Hyde reunion first few days

THis reunion, like all hyde reunions, was amazing. It is always so fun to get with the whole family at Mark and Anne's beautiful homestead. Golds was in heaven with all of her Hyde cousins, John was in heaven with his brothers and FIFA and I was in heaven with my Hyde sisters. I am the Luckiest girl to have some many beast friends as sisters, and mother inlaw... but she counts as a sister. We took many pictures during this vacation. I will recap in photos.

Goldie is speaking perfect english these days. While we were in NV with the Hydes in August it was like G had hit a new level of speaking. She has always been a good little talker but something happened. Maybe it was the fact that she was able to roam free with the kids and she was around a lot of older cousins. I dont know but John was gone on the boys pack trip for 3 days and when he came back he said, Wow, she speaks perfect English. She's only gotten better. John and I just went away for the weekend for our 5th anniversary and we left the girls in St Cloud with Grandma and Aunt Kara. The night before we left Goldie got to stay up late and we ate some candy and snuggled a bit on my bed while i clipped her nails and told her how smart and beautiful she is. Then I told her that in the morning we would be going to Grandma's house where she would stay with grandma for 3 days and 2 nights. She got so excited and covered her smiling mouth and said "And Godad???" I nodded. "HE's going to LOVE ME". That girl knows it. SHe Loves her people and her people love her. She is so sweet to her little sister. She shares with her so well. She is always mindful of where she is and wants to know what she is doing. Hazey will go to goldie's closed bedroom door and G will hear her and open and say, "hey Hazey, you wanna come in" Last week Goldie's Car seat was in the back seat right behind Hazel so G couldn't see her. We were driving down the road and Goldie just started to seriously panic and was crying, I asked her what was up and she said "Mommy, where's Hazey" I told her H was right in front of her she just couldn't see over the head rest. She lifted up enough to see for herself. SHe is always looking after her little sis. Goldie will be 3 very soon. we have been practicing holding 3 fingers up. She's got the hang of. She has been pretty set on having a Tinkerbell Party for like 8 months now. I have never asked her about bday party themes... ever. I think it was the Tinkerbell cake at out Target that has brought on the obsession. Now all green things are for her Tinkerbell Party, like the green sippy cup i filled for her tonight. We love our little Tinkerbell.

Hazel McBeal. That girl is something else. She has just come into her own. She is a feisty little peanut. She is still so teeny but acts like such a big, cool girl. She has gotten very good at standing and cruising. She has taken her first steps and acts like its no big deal. She took her first steps and i happened to catch it in the corner of my eye. She has got some dance moves like none other. SHe stands and sways and shakes her head like she has been dancing all her life. We love it when she feels the rhythm at church during the hymn or in the car or at her little piano. Our Hazelnut has got a mouth full of teeth. She is this tiny little thing and so when she smiles it seems so funny that she would have 8 HUGE teeth n her mouth. I love those pearly whites. She loves to show them off too. Basil is a smiley, snuggley, sweet little munch. While she was with Grandma this weekend she had many snuggle sessions on GoDad's bed with grandma. Mom said she would just go from grandma to godad flailing herself around and crawling up on top of them and resting her head on their laps or burying her head in to their shoulders. I called my mom on our drive back and Hazel had been on their bed doing all this funny business for an hour and a half. She loved her time with her grandma and godad... and her Auntie Kara. This little girl has brought so much joy to our family. SHe is so fun and easy. She is a perfect little friend for Goldie and my favorite little monkey on my hip. I cannot believe she is almost 1. It makes me so sad and happy at the same time. I am so sad that my baby is growing up but the older she gets the more fun she is having with her sister. We Love our little Hazel Hyde.

This is getting out of hand. So many things are going undocumented due to this massive Jupiter post. So here are the last days worth of highlights. JW and I went out on a little trip with the girls with Uncle Ryan on his boat. It was fun to get out on the open water with my honey. Then we decided to go to the Bush Sanctuary. It was a great spot that was so close. It was fun for the kids to get out... and they loved the animals.

On Saturday night the girls got to go out on the boats. It was fun, just wish we had a boat big enough for all the ladies to get out together. We always have fun together...and things get a little strange sometimes. But that's us.

Munns Family Reunion 2010 Jupiter

For the past 2 years our family has made a trip down south to do some deep sea fishing and some good old munns partying. This year was VERY fun. Although we didnt have much luck fishing we did have a great time trying. Because this was the trip that we all were going to make it to we called it the Official reunion. we had a schedule of events that included some alternative activities like beaching and visiting the Bush Sanctuary. we also had schedule for evenings. We had devotionals and games planned for each day. Our theme for the reunion was ANCHOR YOURSELF IN THE GOSPEL. We had devotional given by the haughts, wards, jake and tiff munns and dan and em munns. We were taught by them how to anchor ourselves in the Gospel through, obedience, scripture study, prayer and understanding the holy ghost. It was a real success. This vacay we took some babysitters along..aka some cousins and friends.. and so we were able to go out, just the adults. it was Fabulous. Thanks Mom and Dad for doing this for us.

Munns Family Reunion 2010

We are so lucky to have so many members of the Munns family here in Florida. Because of this we are able to get together A LOT and if there is one thing about the Munns folks... we like to party. This year we had 2 installments, as Mother calls them, of the reunion.

Scalloping

This being the first trip there were a lot of backer outers, meaning husbands, when it came down to the wire. Luckily the trip was still on. Dad rented 2 Party boats each day. we loaded them up each morning and... A'Scalloping We Went.

Have you ever been scalloping? It is so fun. It feels like you are on a treasure hunt. You put on a snorkel, and fins if you dare, and slip a little mesh booty baggie over your arm and hop in. You search and swim, looking among tall sea grass until you see a little shell type thingy, with what looks like 10 blue eyes. The Booty. Then you dive down and pick it up carefully... it just might snap at you... and drop it in your bag. Warning, don't think for a second that once you've got your treasure that it wont try to escape. Mine did and scared me half to death.

we had a few Birthdays, a few reunions and have taken many, many pictures... so I'll try to catch up here a couple of events at a time.

my 27th

my birthday was a good one this year. a relaxing date with my hus, thanks to my friend melissa for watching the girls... and a birthday dinner earlier that week with my family. here we have my cute little birthday cake that JW picked up for me.... it was just the right size for the 3 of us. while I was putting Hazey to sleep he pulled out the ol' birthday lanterns and strung them up just for me.

goldie loves birthdays. she sings happy birthday at least twice a day.. and it usually goes like this, "happy boothday to kitty. happy boothday to russy, happy boothday to sam, happy boothday to charlotte..." and so on until all the peeps that are on her mind, which are more often time then not kara's kids and sam, are wished a happy birthday. i should get a recording of her singing it... its pretty great.

ANYWAY, because of her undying love of birthdays we have let her take over the candle blowing. she loves it.

my brothers were so nice to take us on a ride a few weeks back. Goldie loved it, she was even ok with wearing the earmuffs. She was comfortable on the loud boat the she even took a little potty break off the side of the boat. Thata Girl.

on the third we had a munns shindig at Wild Florida... the new airboat ride fish camp the guys have.

the fireworks were grand, as usual. it was a great night.

jw turned 28

this year JW turned 28. Goldie insisted on Daddy having a race car birthday and that we, she and i would have a Barbie birthday too. We pulled off the race cars, but had to settle for princesses for the girls.

Since VQ was having her birthday just a couple of days later we celebrated her Bday too.
